Bristol Samba is a community band that welcomes new drummers and dancers of all levels. We hold regular lessons and occasional workshops throughout the year. So, even if you've never drummed or danced before, come and give it a try!

Bristol Samba periodically brings in a new group of drummers to join the band. Our last intake was in March 2010 and we will look at a new intake later in 2010. If you send your details to us, we will get in touch with you when we have any further information on the next course, or if we run any workshops or other activities which may be of interest to you.

Dance with Bristol Samba
A lot of the dancing takes place with the live band so it's a lot of fun with some real samba rhythms to enjoy. The classes are aimed towards performance, but you don't have to be a performer to take part - you can join us for the fun and the exercise. Classes are held on Monday nights and you can experience a wide range of dancing styles.
Claudia teaches samba reggae, ijexa (afoxe) and samba carnival style.
Dancers pay in 8 week blocks of £40 (£30 concessions). The weekly drop-in cost is £6 (£5 concessions).
